I’ve adopted the idea of not having a New Years resolution. It’s not because I don’t have things I want to improve about myself or there aren’t things that I want to do; it’s just that when the clock strikes 12, I’m still going to be the same person I was at 11:59pm only I’m a minute older.
Saying your new year’s resolution is going to be ______________, is great but only if you can follow through with it.
Think back to last year at what your resolution(s) was/were; did you actually follow through with them?
Did you do what you said you were going to do?
If you did, then great, you are among the few who actually did what they said they would while the rest of us didn’t. Come to think of it, I don’t even remember what my resolution was last year….. Kind of sad isn’t it?
You see, most of us just tell ourselves what we want to do or are going to do just to follow the trend of New Year’s Resolutions. We come up with something, say it to ourselves and that’s it, we tell ourselves rather than do it ourselves.
So why even bother to say it? Why waste your breath and lie to yourself?
Because unless you do something about your new years resolutions, they ain’t going to happen and what you said at midnight is just words and empty promises.
