Okay in case you didn’t know who I was referring to in my photo before, this is the girl. Chachi.

Inspirational, but dammit, makes me want to renew my subscription now that Incarna is out!

Lay it to rest.

You know sometimes, it’s all just in our heads. All the worries, all the fears and all the problems that we think we have. We think that we have troubles doing something but then in the eyes of others, they don’t see us as having a problem at all. They see us as an inspiration, as a rolemodel so that they too can reach that height with their achievements.

Perhaps its because we’ve focused for too long on the worry or the fear or the problem that we didn’t even realize that it’s already past us. We’ve abolished the worry, eliminated the fear and solved the problem long ago. But we blinded ourselves by going too deep into our heads in the beginning.

Now it’s about time to lay it to rest; the ghost of our troubles. And rejoin the very real, world that surrounds us all where worries are very real but not absolute as solutions are just as real.

helloteekay asked: Question to ponder: Who inspired you the most during your childhood? How did he/she inspire you to become who you are now? :)

Well it was about time I answered this question tkwon as I’ve had long enough to ponder it ;)

Who inspired me the most during my childhood would have to be my parents. I know, it’s cliche but that’s the truth. I used to think that it was just one person who did it all but rather it was both my parents who played their part as a whole.

How did they inspire me to become this way now? Well one of the main things was the Freedom that they always allowed me to have as they provided it with abundance. This isn’t to say that they didn’t restrain me from doing things because they did, but the things that they restrained me from doing were always things that either weren’t worth my time or were a danger to my well being.

My parents gave me and still give me an unbelievable amount of Freedom. The Freedom to do what I want, to experience what I want and to learn what I want. This has allowed me to become who I am today.

The second main thing that they gave me which allowed me to enjoy the freedom were the Values they taught. The Values they taught me helped secure myself and guide my choices so that I wouldn’t do something that goes against my beliefs and what I stood for.

Finally, they also gave me Trust. Of course when I was little they would check up on me often, when I took the bus for the first time my parents would make sure that I was okay and not lost. But as I grew older, they started to loosen up their “all seeing eye” on me as they Trusted that I would be okay. To have someone Trust you so much and to show it unwaveringly can really influence what direction you will go.

I’m sure there were other things as well but these three stuck out the most in my mind. Perhaps I’ll realize even more as time goes on but I hope this answers your question ;)

Road Conditions.

Driving on the slush filled streets today only went to show that even though there was no snow impeding my driving, the dirty slush and water could instead. Now it’s not that it bothered me too much but then who likes it when their clean car is dirtied again?

But this isn’t a post about how I hate it when that happens, this is about a thought I had while driving.

The Road. Symbolically and metaphorically can represent a person’s path in their life or life itself.

Now while driving on this “road”, it is not always as clean as we wished it to be. There are bumps, cracks and potholes. There’s dirt everywhere, there’s mud and all kinds shit littering your way. However, there are smooth patches, there are clean parts of the road where its just smooth sailing all the way….at least until the next crack shows up.

But regardless of what the road conditions are, whether good or bad, we still pull through. If you’ve ever driven a car then you’d know that no matter how dirty the road is, how cracked up and uneven it may feel, so long as its there and you can get to destination, then that’s all you need.

We pull through all the shit that’s on the road, if we can do that, then we can pull through all the shit that comes up in our lives.

No matter which path we take.

It always seems impossible until it’s done.

“It takes time, creativity, and passion to simply write” - justanotherhopelessromantic.tumblr.com

Question: How do people manage to combine all three to produce a product worth reading?

Honestly I don’t know.

I don’t know what other people do or how they go about their writing as we all think differently and see things in different perspectives. There isn’t really a one-size fits all solution that can apply to passionately writing because when you do it, it comes from the heart which has experienced everything that makes you the person you are today.  Therefore, in order to “turn the faucet back on”, whatever helps me may not help you so I won’t provide the details of what I do but I can show you the template of which I swear by.

Have you ever heard of Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs?

If you haven’t, then you have now =P

So basically we start at the bottom and work our way up. Our goal, is to get to the top of the triangle where “Self-Actualization” occurs; that is where your waterfall of thoughts will spring from. Follow the triangle and fulfill each level of it in the ways that it applies to you, fulfill it and reach the top, you as a person should feel better and better as you scale the triangle and you’ll know you’re at the top when you feel absolutely phenomenal in every way.

But once you’re up there, don’t pressure yourself into thinking “I am in a state Self-Actualization right now so I should be overflowing with thoughts this instant!

No, it doesn’t work that way, everything takes time to happen. Think of a waterfall, was it like that from the very beginning? No, it didn’t just drop out of the sky one day like that, it started off as a little stream of water and then it got bigger and bigger until it finally became a waterfall.

It’s the same with the thoughts you want to write about, it’ll start off slowly but accept it, write about it so that you can make space for even more thoughts to appear and just keep the process going, keep dreaming bigger and then with time you’ll have a never ending waterfall in your mind.

Just remember, get to the top of the triangle, don’t pressure yourself and just enjoy what’s around you.

Create the environment that inspires you to write =)
