Twist and Turn.

In one of my previous posts I wrote about how if a story has many twists and turns then it will capture the full attention of the reader. Such is the case of when I found out who Dr. River Song really was in the television series Doctor Who.

But before I got to that, I think for those of us who have been alive for the last 10 years can really say that there was an even bigger Twist and Turn in a story that shocked all of us.

Yes, it was when we all found out that Harry Potter ends up with Ginny Weasley AND NOT Hermione Granger.

And yes, this photo was photoshopped BECAUSE IT NEVER WOUND UP HAPPENING! -_-

Once we let go of who we are, what we believe to be true; who the hell are we for god sakes?

A Frustrating Identity.

Now unless you’ve been living away from all human life in isolation, there must have been a time when someone has frustrated the hell out of you. There are countless reasons as to why that person has but one that winds up very common is the fact that “common sense” is not very common.

Whichever way(s) you’ve been living your life and whatever event(s) that have influenced your life all add up to creating the person you are today including (but not limited to) the way you act and think in certain situations. However, to become who we are, our behaviors and personalities had to be learned and crafted. Where in the end it created an identity.

An identity which can standalone from everyone else. However because they are standalone, frustrations can occur very easily as ideas may clash when two very different identities engage in a confrontation. While we are frustrated by why this person is not on the same page as us, we forget that they are not us as they haven’t been through the same experiences that we have and vice versa.

Now, I’m not saying that we have to be the same in order to remove frustrations of one another. I’m saying that experiencing it is normal since everyone has had different influences throughout their lives. And while frustration due to differences is problematic; attempting to conform into being clones is detrimental, as seen in human history.

People Change

Remember hearing those two words?

They’ve seemed to have crept through society and latched onto anyone who will listen but where did these words come from? …..No Clue, they’ve always just been there.

Though the truth is that yes people do change and yet they don’t just like how a person can be alive on the outside but dead on the inside; both are possible depending on who this person is.

After watching an old video my uncle found of when I was 4 years old, it gave me a sense of security and happiness. Not because of how happy I was back when I had no care in the world nor because my daily activities were only just Eat, Play and Sleep but because of the personality I had back then.

I was open to everyone, I’d chat with them no matter if they were the same age or if they were 30 years older than me, I treated them all the same and when I did I had so much fun with it. I was full of energy, I did what I wanted when I wanted because it felt good.

Seeing this video made me realize that I have finally come full circle with myself in terms of my personality. I’ve finally gone back to where I started after deviating from that path at the end of Elementary school and all the way up to Grade 11.

Change I can accept, but the change my personality went through was not one I could bear with. So I went back to who I am at the core, the open and fun loving personality that was evident in my childhood.

Seeing it with my own eyes makes it known that the way I’ve been lately means that I’ve reached the finish line of finding my own identity but that means that I’m also at the starting line for further developing it.

People.Change. but I was lucky enough that I didn’t need to, so I’m right back where I started.

And I’m happy with that.
