What allowed me to successfully enroll into the class that I had Anti-requisites for was in part due to my patience but not without the help of a stranger. After about an hour and a half being on hold and being swapped back and forth between parts of the University I finally got a hold of someone who had the power to do something.
It was a young woman on the other line and her cheerful voice definitely eased away my frustration of registration. We spoke about what could be done and within 10 mins, I was able to register my last class as if the Anti-requisites never existed but I guess that’s what she did, she was able to make them “not exist” officially.
I was beaming with excitement, happiness and gratitude towards her. She didn’t have to do this, she could have forced me to retake one of the Anti-requisites instead or she could have denied any help at all, but she didn’t and nor was she difficult to sway.
She wanted to help, me, a complete stranger, one that she only knows a voice to just like me to her and I am extremely grateful for her being there today.
I am extremely grateful to the stranger who I’ve never met nor seen except for hearing what her voice sounds like and what her name is.
