What is that?

That is the body of a slain “Gnoll Chieftain”.

For 9 tries I tried to kill this motherfucker (by myself) and for 9 tries I was unsuccessful. I either got incapacitated each time or the server connection just happened to crap out thus making me start all over again.

Yes, I was disappointed that I couldn’t beat it but yet every time I was unsuccessful I would go back to try it again and again and again…

Eventually, I got frustrated but I still kept trying.

“When in doubt… ask for help”.

And then me and two other players worked together to take it down.

Yes, being able to do things by yourself gives a great feeling of accomplishment but it can also blow up your ego making you give in to not trying again as you won’t accept that you can’t do it OR you just won’t ask for help when you really need it.

Don’t get me wrong though, a single person is able to accomplish great things but in the end they are still just one person and one person’s power is very limited without other people.

So when you need it, ask someone for help because there are some things that we just can’t do by ourselves.

Honestly have your parents ever watched you play games or go on the computer to do something and then they say “Wow You know back when we were kids we only played with hackysacks or pong, there was no such things as computers yet”. 

I can’t help but think “That’s Must’ve been a looooonnnngggg time ago” =P but I understand, they were a different generation than us with different interests and past times so naturally there would be a gap between what would catch our attention and what would be different.

Speaking of which at work today I wore this shirt that consisted of 9 Badguys from either games or movies and the receptionist + my boss decided to guess who could name the most.

In the middle row on the far right when you look at it, my boss thought it was “Robo Cop” lol, it was a good guess but I was like “What? Robo Cop?” that’s old!! Even though I did watch a bit of Robo Cop when I was a kid before they took it off the air. (Hint: It’s a robot, because it maybe harder to see it in the photo)

But in the end, they could not get more than 2 right. So I was wondering if you’re able name all 9 of them?

As of today it is exactly 3 days from my first exam. The plan was to goto Uni and isolate myself in one of their libraries in hopes of studying all of BSEN 291. It was about to fall into place when I happened to look out the window and this is what I saw:

A “nice” day just doesn’t describe this, it is a beautiful day today. I changed my mind, I’m not going to get cooped up in some library on a day like this, especially since  the weather here can turn into a shitstorm of ice and snow instantly. But before I go study in the sun + get my tan on, lets have breakfast.

That’s the breakfast of champions, gross looking? perhaps. Delicious? Oh definetly =)

Now with a full stomach I head out into the sun.
